For over 5 years tierraselva has been actively involved in a broad range of projects that have included reforestation, water protection and advocacy to natural resource management.
Some of our initiatives have included and not been limited to:
· research, data collection, monitoring and evaluation, awareness creation and training on local environmental and socio-cultural threats and impacts,
· environmental and cultural management, eco-tourism and sustainable livelihoods activities,
· technical training with local municipal and indigenous leaders on regulatory and policy frameworks, governance, resource management and monitoring, conflict resolution and mediation,
· youth education programs focusing on; environmental leadership/ stewardship programs, development and distribution of classroom tools and guidebooks,
· water and waste management activities, campaigns and advocacy
· engaging men and boys in training focused on gender equity, as related to resource management and climate change;
· engaged in reforestation local “greening” programs including planting, educational awareness campaigns and monitoring;
